Manufacturing & Quality
Buyers ask the same three questions before a first order: can you make it, can you make it the same way every time, and can you prove it. This page answers all three — and says plainly who runs the machines and who is answerable to you.
At a glance
The numbers.
The partner plant splits, bonds and finishes the laminate; we hold the specification, approve the samples and inspect the output. Every figure below is either from the plant's own registration records or from the range of material we supply — nothing here is an estimate.
On the floor
Where the work happens.
The lines that make your laminate, photographed where they run rather than staged. If a specific machine matters to your order, ask for it by name and we will send photographs — or video — of that station.
Quality system
The approved sample is the contract.
In this trade, most disputes are not about whether goods are defective — they are about whether goods match what was agreed. So the agreement is turned into a physical object — a sealed swatch — and kept on file.
Sealed reference swatch
The swatch you approve is sealed, signed and kept. Production is judged against that physical piece — its gauge, its hand, its colour — not against a photograph or a description in an email thread.
Written tolerance sheet
Thickness, width and colour tolerance are written down and agreed before the first roll is run. Both sides know what "within specification" means before there is anything to argue about.
Bond test record
Peel results from each bonding run are recorded against your order number, so a later batch can be compared with the approved one rather than trusted on the strength of a handshake.
Batch traceability
Core batch, backing batch, bonding date and inspection result are recorded against each order, so a query months later can be traced back to the actual run that produced the goods.
Third-party inspection welcome
SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek or your own QC team are welcome at the partner plant during production, and we arrange the visit. We would rather you checked than hoped.
Corrective action, in writing
If something does go wrong, you get a written root cause and the change made to prevent it recurring — not an apology and a promise.
Certification
Papers and audits.
We list only schemes we can produce evidence for. Where a document is issued per order against the actual batch used, it is marked as such rather than presented as a standing certificate we do not hold.
| Document | Covers | Issued by | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| REACH | EU chemical compliance, SVHC screening | Report per order | On request |
| RoHS | Restricted substances in accessories | Report per order | On request |
| Proposition 65 | California chemical disclosure | Declaration per order | On request |
| Test reports | Thickness, bond peel strength, material composition | Against the batch used | On request |
| Environmental registration | China pollutant discharge registration — the plant's standing filing | PRC authority | Registered |
Material safety data sheets and test reports reference the actual batch used. Ask for the document set for your destination market when you request a quotation. We do not hold ISO 9001, BSCI, SMETA or OEKO-TEX registration — if one of those schemes is a condition of your order, say so at enquiry stage and we will tell you honestly whether it can be met.
Visits and audits
Come and look.
We arrange buyer visits and third-party audits at the partner plant throughout the year. If you are placing a first order of any size, seeing the line is the cheapest due diligence available to you — and a lot more reliable than a certificate.
What we arrange
Line walk-through from splitting to packing, swatch review at the bench, material store access, and a Q&A with the plant's production lead rather than with sales alone.
Video walk-through
If travel is not practical, we set up a live video call with the plant at a time that suits your working day.
Due diligence
Ask us the awkward questions.
Bond strength, what happens if a roll is rejected at inspection, how a thickness tolerance is agreed, how close a colour match can be held — ask before you order, not after.
